You can’t expect one VA to have voiced a teacher and a student (where the protagonist is a teacher). You can also get a good grasp of the VN by looking up its CG set. It was under the assumption that one VA may have inclination towards one archetype within a time interval (depending on what’s popular among galge that time). When I have to find another source VN, my best bet is to find one that is close to when AA1 is produced. That’s not the case for Affable, because her VA has been voicing nothing else aside from lolis recently. You have easy personality ports like Big Sister because their VAs (Kawashima Rino, for example) consistently take different roles throughout their career. I think that if I find a character who got these identical features, then I can safely assume that their personalities are the same. Those are the 2 features that uniquely define an AA personality for me. There are only two things that I seek from an external source before I use it alongside say the AA1 port: voice and speech pattern. I mean, I like Nobara as a character too, but… You see, if I want something like that, I’d rather do a port based off Nobara instead of making a 楽子 port. Nobara also gives off a background that is not something that I want to have in the port: a big-sister type who is working hard because of financial troubles.
While Nobara sounds similar, her speech pattern is different. Strictly speaking, none of the characters have the same personality as Affable. I was able to make use only of 1 of them for the most trivial reason: almost all don’t sound like Affable at all. That said, before I began with the port, I already have read 3 VNs where one of the heroines is voiced by Affable’s VA (Tamiyasu Tomoe): Kicking Horse Rhapsody (as Nobara), Guardian Place (as Aoi), and Little Busters (as Rin/Sasami/Riki). Too bad that nothing came from it, though. That reminds me of one “ojou” personality where someone suggested getting the laughter voice from one Tsuriotsu character and I got hyped for it only because of her VA (who voices an AA2 personality). The only way I can have 2 VAs for one personality is when say the original source has a VA who doesn’t voice porn at all so you have to get someone else for the adult parts. What sources do I consider?įirst thing, I won’t have a personality that has more than one VA voicing it. Progress got stalled indefinitely since then, and now I want to continue it now that I got another VN. When I made some progress in Affable port last December (which I did under a week actually to have something to post about for Christmas), I managed to get 268 lines in – 239 are AA1 lines while around 29 are from another VN. An example of this is the “holding hands” line. Not all of those lines are used in-game, though as you may see in some mods like Mitsumeru List, some modder might find ways to make use of these voice files. (They include the voice files used when the character runs away.)
